Keith Appleby Becomes a Member of the Bar of the United States Supreme Court
November 17, 2017On November 8, 2017, Banker Lopez Gassler P. A. Shareholder Keith Appleby became a member of the Bar of the United States Supreme Court in Washington D.C. This achievement allows him to handle a client’s case from start to finish, even if matters escalate to the nation’s top court. The certification showcases his abilities, ethical standards, and professionalism, as few attorneys are admitted into the United States Supreme Court.
Stetson University College of Law Dean, Chris Pietruszkiewicz moved for Keith’s admission with several distinguished alumni from the law school before the nine Supreme Court Justices. Chief Justice John G. Roberts granted the motion. Following the ceremony, the Supreme Court handed down its first opinion in a case heard this term. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg, the Court’s oldest Justice, authored and issued the opinion on an employment discrimination case.
