Banker Lopez Gassler Welcomes Three New Shareholders

Michael Bird is a trial attorney in the firm’s Tampa office where he has participated in more than 15 jury trials during his tenure at Banker Lopez Gassler. Mr. Bird’s trial experience qualifies him to sit for the Florida Bar’s Civil Trial Board Certification exam. His practice focuses on defense litigation including premises liability, automobile and general liability claims. Mr. Bird graduated with his JD magna cum laude from the University of Florida in 2008.
Jesse Gubernat is a member of the firm’s Fort Myers office and was the first Associate hired by Banker Lopez Gassler after the firm split from Fowler White Boggs Banker in November 2008. His practice focuses on vehicular torts, insurance fraud litigation, wrongful death, medical malpractice, premises liability, insurance coverage and construction litigation. Mr. Gubernat is also a member of the firm’s Rapid Response Team. He was named to Super Lawyer’s Florida Rising Star list in 2013. Mr. Gubernat graduated with his JD cum laude from Stetson University College of Law in 2008.
Petra Justice is a member of the Products Liability practice group in the firm’s Tampa office. She practices in the areas of insurance defense with a focus on vehicular torts, construction litigation and aviation litigation. Ms. Justice is active in a number of professional organizations. She is the Editor of the Defense Research Institute’s Skywriting publication, a member of the Ferguson-White Inn of Court Board of Directors and a member of the American Bar Association’s Products Liability Sub-Committee, Aviation Forum and Trial Evidence Sub-Committee. Ms. Justice also volunteers as a coach for the Stetson University College of Law Trial Team. She has been named to the Super Lawyer’s Florida Rising Star list in 2012 and 2013. Ms. Justice received her JD from Stetson University College of Law in 2008.
