Bradley Powers and Brock Johnson recently obtained an outright defense verdict in a personal injury lawsuit tried in Polk County, Florida. The Plaintiff alleged permanent injuries resulting from an auto accident. Mr. Powers and Mr. Johnson defended the case by arguing that the Plaintiff himself was negligent in the operation of his vehicle, as he was pulling a utility trailer that fishtailed and collided with the Defendant’s vehicle. The jury found that there was no liability on the part of the Defendant, and that any alleged injuries sustained by the Plaintiff were not related to the subject accident.
