It is with a heavy heart that we pass along our sad news. Shortly after 7:00am this morning, our longtime friend and partner, Allen von Spiegelfeld, passed away.
For the past 20 months, with the support of his family and friends, Allen courageously underwent treatment for glioblastoma, never once complaining about the ill effect of the treatment. He survived this disease for far greater a period of time than the majority of those who are stricken with it. Allen accepted his diagnoses and met it with a level of courage and character which is and should be a beacon to us all. Allen will be gravely missed by all of us, but never forgotten. His courage, character and strength has been and should continue to be a guiding light and inspiration to all of us. Allen’s life, although cut short, was one which was fulfilling both to his family and his profession and by all standards, a life well lived.
Allen joined our group of lawyers in October of 1981. He practiced law with us for 38 years. He leaves behind a loving wife, 2 sons (Marcus and Christopher), and the Banker Lopez family.
At this time, we do not know any of the arrangements, but will pass that information on to you when we find out.
