After the first three days of a six-day trial, the Plaintiff asked to settle for what had been offered over three years prior.
The case was a very minor rear-end accident with no property damage and no treatment at the scene. The Defendant conceded liability, but contested that Plaintiff’s two neck surgeries and $182,000 in past medical bills and $800,000 recommendation for future medical bills were causally related to the accident.
The jury quickly learned that Plaintiff had not been forthcoming about her past medical history and thus Plaintiff sought a resolution shortly thereafter.
